A two-gal/one guy, bass-less, mostly instrumental trio, Thought Forms slots in perfectly alongside fellow space-rock cadets Paik, Kinski, Explosions In The Sky and Bardo Pond.
"Nothing Is As Easy As It Seems" is alight with white-knuckled dynamics and whooshing mini-crescendos, while "Dust Magic" improbably marries jangle to distortion in a Hendrexian orgy of tattered elegance.
Fun fact: The drummer is none other than Terrastock festival founder Phil McMullen's daughter.
